More than 50 arrested in protests in Ferguson

More than 50 people were arrested, including the academic and civil rights activist Cornel West.

West was one of the 42 arrested for disturbing public order in the Ferguson police station. Some protesters used loudspeakers to read the names of the people killed in police shootouts throughout the country. Christian, Jewish and Muslim religious leaders, some of whom were among the first ones to be arrested, lead prayers before commencing the two block march towards the police station.
